Itinerary

A small chirpy town enshrouded in clouds and trees on the western slopes of the Andes, Mindo is one of the best locations for bird tours in Ecuador and the perfect place for a combination of relaxation, wildlife, and the very best adventure activities. The town itself is characterful and charming, and the perfect base for exploring the area of thick vegetation, rivers, ravines, and rainforest that surround it.

We will pick you up from your hotel in Quito at 8:00 and depart to the northwest, passing the western Andes, following the Calacalí – La Independencia Street, entering the cloud forest. We follow the street deeper into the cloud forest, finally arriving to Mindo.

We will walk about an hour and a half through the forest trails and crossing streams. On the way to this beautiful site, one can observe the flora and fauna. This beautiful place has a cable car from 530 meters long and shorten the walking time, giving you the emotions of the dizzying height and full depreciation of forest. This waterfall is formed Nambilllo rushing river and is a natural resort. This waterfall has a height of approximately 15 meters. Its crystal clear waters that invite you to receive a dip sliding down the slide.

After a good hike we will get back to the town for lunch. After a little break we will visit the Butterfly farm, in this place you can enjoy full contact with nature, and the most beautiful butterfly species in the area, where you can learn the life cycle and be delighted by the variety and colors of the butterflies of this enchanted valley. We will admire and enjoy the interactive learning in our garden the 4 stages in the life of a butterfly. In the exhibition area you can feed our 25 colorful species of butterflies. Completing a day of nature, adventure and vibrant experiences!. You will come back to Quito.
