  • Every passenger MUST bring their own medical insurance, otherwise they will not be able to enter the Galapagos Islands.
Requirements
  • Procure Medical and/or Travel insurance prior to your trip.
  • Luggage: We suggest you take a 10kg suitcase and a carry on. This is what is allowed by the local airlines. Please bear in mind that trips in Galapagos take place outdoors and include hikes, swimming, scuba diving, and other physical activities that require comfortable, lightweight, informal clothing.

Clothing: For the hot months (December — May) we recommend a bathing suit, T-shirts, shorts, sunglasses, cap or hat, insect repellent, sunscreen, sport shoes that are good for walking in lava and rocks, and sandals. For the cooler months (June — November), a waterproof jacket or poncho and light pants are necessary. Other important items are lip balm, eye drops, waterproof bags for electronic equipment, binoculars, patches or pills for seasickness, a photo or video camera and enough film, batteries or chargers and any personal medications that you normally take.

Day 1.- Quito / Guayaquil – San Cristobal Island.

Flight from Quito or Guayaquil to San Cristobal´s airport where a naturalist guide will transfer you to the selected hotel to leave your luggage. Upon arrival, we will visit the Interpretation Center to learn about the history and origin of the Galapagos Islands. We will go to Cerro Tijeretas, which is a natural viewpoint with a panoramic view of the island. It is called that because of the frigates present in this place that have a tail ending in form of a pair of scissors.

The Cerro Tijeretas is considered one of the most important points to visit on the island. It was one of the first places where the English biologist Charles Robert Darwin landed. This is why there is a statue in his honor. We will continue the path to Punta Carola to observe the wonderful fauna and flora of the island. We will finish the day with a snorkeling activity at Playa Mann. The transfer takes you back to the selected hotel located on San Cristóbal Island.

Day 2.- San Cristobal Island – El Junco Lagoon – Puerto Chino.

After breakfast, the guide will meet you in the hotel’s lobby in order to take you to our excursion to the Junco Lagoon highlands , the only freshwater Lagoon, where we will observe seabirds. Just a few minutes away from this place, we will stop at a viewpoint to enjoy a beautiful view of the Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Bay and then you will head to the beautiful sandy beach of Pto. Chino.

Day 3.- Isabela Island – The Tunnels of Cape Rosa- Wall of Tears – Orchilla Viewpoint – Flamingo lagoon

Very early in the morning we take an inter-island flight in a plane with a capacity of 5 to 9 passengers. The flight to one of the most beautiful islands in the Archipelago takes approximately 40 min.

Prepare yourself for one of the best days of this trip! After sailing for 45 minutes from Puerto Villamil, we will reach Cape Rosa on the western side of the island. This is one of the most beautiful and amazing places nature has bestowed upon humankind. Here we can walk over the connected lava tunnels surrounded by the crystal sea waters. From the surface, you will be able to see dozens of sea turtles, penguins and rays. You can also snorkel or simply swim along this rich marine fauna as we sail to and from Isabela, we might be able to see manta rays of different sizes, a truly unique experience. And if it is their mating season, we will watch them floating upside-down on the surface, waiting to have their pictures taken.
In the afternoon, after lunch, we will drive towards the “Wall of Tears”. This historical place was built by the prisoners of the Ecuador’s first jail. On our way back we will stop at the Orchilla viewpoint. From the top, you can see the entire coastal wetland system including Poza de los Diablos, Puerto Villamil, the beaches, the volcanoes and the islets to the south east of Isabela. It is a great location for panoramic photos on clear days. Then, we will take a walk around the flamingo lagoon. Return to the hotel and lodging.

Day 4: Isabela Island -Sierra Negra Volcano – Campo Duro Farm – Tintoreras

Approximately at 7:30 am, our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to one of the most beautiful volcanoes in the world, Sierra Negra. Its crater is approximately 7 kilometers wide. We Will drive for about 45 minutes to the Galapagos National Park control site in order to record the visit. Then, we will begin a trek to the Sierra Negra and Chico Volcano. We will take a two-hour trekking tour to enjoy this wonderful and unique scenery. Lunch in a local farm called Campo Duro where we will also watch Isabela Giant Tortoises.

Back to Puerto Villamil town, we will visit Tintoreras Islets. Herds of white tip sharks can often be seen here, resting around the lava canals. You can also observe hundreds of marine iguanas, as “Las Tintoreras” are one of their main breeding sites. On the nearby sandy beaches, sea lions play and relax in the sun. Afterwards we will have an opportunity to snorkel. Return to the hotel and lodging.

Day 5 : Isabela Island – Santa Cruz Island

After breakfast, we will be transferred to the Concha Perla for snorkeling. Then, you will return to the hotel for the Lunch.
After lunch you will be transferred to the port to embark on a public speedboat to Santa Cruz (approximately 2-2.5hours of navigation). Santa Cruz Island, one of the most important islands in the Archipelago (because this is where most of the hotels and tourist accommodations are located). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel for check-in. Then if you prefer you can take a quiet stroll by the port to the Ninfas lake.
For dinner you can go on your own to walk by the port and walk through the many restaurants that offer a diverse menu.

Day 6 : Santa Cruz Island – Bartolome Day Tour

After breakfast, the guide will meet you in the hotel´s lobby in order to take you to the dock, and start the tour. Lunch will be included onboard the small yacht. In the afternoon, you would return to the port.
Bartolome Island is the most attractive landscape of the archipelago. This island is undoubtedly the most photographed in all the Galapagos Islands. You can appreciate a spectacular view of two beautiful bays and observe the fascinating formations of lava and volcanic cones.

Day 7 : Santa Cruz Island – Charles Darwin Station – Baltra

Early in the morning you will visit the Charles Darwin Station. Here you will see a variety of species of Giant Tortoises. You will also hear about the ongoing conservation efforts directed at preserving the Giant Tortoises, as well as the environment of the archipelago as a whole.
Afterwards, you and the guide would take the route to the airport, which lasts approximately 1 hour. On the way you will do your last visit to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island where you visit a lava tunnel underground.At the airport, you will take your flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.
